@v29g2000prd.googlegroups.com:
For me, I don't fix what ain't broken. lol. I haven't had the flu in
decades. I don't get the kids vaccinated either and they've never had
the flu - the diarrhea and vomiting, etc. I know people who get the
"flu" after the vaccine. They claim that, but publications indicate
many people misclassify their symptoms as the flu, when it in fact
really is not.
I am confused here, Chris. Influenza isn't just the diarrhea/vomiting,
etc. and more common with a stomach bug for which I am fairly certain
there is no vaccination.
I know it isn't "just" the diarrhea and vomiting, but I actually used
the "etc.", without the word "just", in my post as the phrase meant to
encompass the rest of the symptoms--basically, I meant the kids have
never gotten the flu - the whole kit and caboodle of symptoms, as you
provided the list for below.
Be Aware of Common Flu Symptoms
Influenza usually starts suddenly and may include the following symptoms:
Fever (usually high)
Headache
Tiredness (can be extreme)
Cough
Sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Body aches
Diarrhea and vomiting (more common among children than adults)
Having these symptoms does not always mean that you have the flu. Many
different illnesses, including the common cold, can have similar
symptoms.
