I'm 56 and have never had a flu or pneumonia shot. I have only had the
flu once in my entire life about 10 years ago and never had pneumonia.
My PCP is trying to talk me into getting these shots this year. How
many of you get the shots. Pros and cons?
Thanks
Barbara
I'm at high risk because of direct patient care and diabetes, so I always
get a flu shot.
The only con is I always get a significantly sore arm for a couple days, but
nothing I can't tolerate.
Like the huge majority of people who get flu shots, I have no adverse
reaction outside of the arm soreness.
Influenza kills a whole bunch of people every year.
