The Gatlin Education course would make up one-half of a pretty good MT
course. The problem is that they use no actual, real doctor dictation.
The dictations are all read by actors, though they are based on real
medical records. If you graduate from a course without having worked on
real dictation, you just won't be ready to handle the jobs that are out
there. It would qualify you to work directly in a doctor's office doing
MT for just one or two dictators who would have to be willing to work
with you. That will limit your employment options, though it might be
the way to go. I would advise you to check out both the Andrews Schools
for MT (they also teach coding) and M-TEC. These programs cost more,
but they are worth every penny. Good luck to you!
