Re: Canine Cognitive Dysfunction

I have seen both old horses and dogs lose a little cognitive ability, though
never seriously so. Certainly is reasonable that they might--just a little
confusion at times. Most of my old dogs and horses get a bit "regal" in
their old age, and set in their ways--as if they deserve to be treated a
little special, which we cater to!

or Doggy Alzheimer's - I am pretty sure that is what Buddy, my 15-yo
mini-dachshund has. Anyone ever hear of this or have any first hand
experience with their four-legged people? I am going to check at the
pet store today for doggie anti-oxidants, amino acids. Last night was
the first night he has actually slept through for several weeks and I
am wondering if it was the tryptophan in the turkey. Gave him a little
bit more this morning with his pred. Thoughts...comments? THANKS
