Re: Okay...time for updates...

I'll go next, if I may.

It's been raining for days here in northern California. Those who have
known me for years can imagine what my mood is like right now. The
harder the rain comes down, the bigger the grin on my face becomes.
Have I ever mentioned I love the rain?

Most of my time, when I'm not standing outside soaking up the
wonderful wet stuff, has been spent at my laptop writing. There is a
daily prompt contest on the online site where I post my stories. The
hosts are celebrating the contest's sixth birthday on this site with a
challenge. They want us to write either a poem of no more than 40
lines or a story with a 1,000 word limit.

This challenge was to do a story or poem for six of the seven days of
the birthday week. I took their challenge, writing six stories so far
with a teeny tiny 14-line poem in the middle of the sixth story.
Anyway, I've decided it's much easier to write prose than poetry and
will stick to what makes me happy.

What isn't making me happy are all the political ads currently
inundating the television lately. I've decided I don't want any of
the current candidates running for President and wish there was a
place on the ballot for "None of the above."

Okay, who is next?
