My experience is limited to Metroscript, which Andrea is using. That
company handles the website, backup systems, etc. The MT has a toll free
number her doctor clients can call to dictate, and then the files are
available to the MT or her subcontractors via the website. I have done
some sub work of this particular TASP (I think it stands for
Transcription Application Service Provider - but I might be wrong). If I
recall correctly, you pay a minimum fee a month, which isn't much - but
actual dictation time comes out of that and I do not believe it involves
any long-term contract. Once you're set up with an account as an MTSO
and get a new client, you can add him or her yourself. There may be some
cheaper - but sometimes cheaper is not better, right Andrea? LOL
