I have problem with sun as well, even if I am not in the direct sun (which
I avoid like the plague). I will turn beet red from the "heat" factor. I
too, have problems with a strong wind and do have problems with spices (not
that I eat many). There is a new line of skin products from Eucerin that
works called red reduction I don't like the green products, they are too
drying, but the night cream works great. I can no longer use MetroGel I
became allergic after many years of use. I also use Olay Total Effects for
sensitive skin and it helps too. I rarely wear blush if though I am so damn
pale for fear I will flush later and look like a clown.

Me too. Rosacea problem as well. I can get so red it is almost purple --
just from alcohol of any kind. It is really not worth it, especially in
public. It gets a bit embarrassing. My nose will get really red too, so

I've got really good makeup, but sometimes I can just flush red right
through it if I walk in a stiff wind or drink some alcohol. I've never
noticed it with spicey foods, but I don't eat anything very spicey, so
not enough experience. Caffeine is not a trigger, thank the gods! it
is a very weird process. My ophthalmologist says I have the beginning
of a cataract in one eye (I am unaware of it, he says he can see it on
exam), and that this is a common side effect of rosacea. Who knew?
