I have heard it is genetic as to whether they respond. I don't think I
have had a cat that doesn't like it... But then, I got some catnip from
a friend for a friend and my local friend knitted catnip mice etc out of
it. Who knew? Even the dogs, at least one especially, likes to play with
the catnip toys. Interesting, isn't it. I know some drugs or illicit
substances are considered dangerously addictive. I've enjoyed the catnip
variety, but the high-test left me wondering "HUH?"
