So every police department in the entire country stops cars with black
people in it just for the hell of it? There is still prejudice in this
country, but I don't believe it's nearly as widespread as the fear-mongers

If you haven't had something like this happen to you, I guess you
can't imagine it.  Why would it matter how many police departments
this is happening in? If you are a black person and it happens to you
repeatedly, if you see that look of fear in a white person's eyes that
makes them cross the street simply because they see you on a dark
street at night, you probably aren't wondering how many other black
people are getting that same treatment at that moment, because it's
happening to you, right then.  As a white person, I'm not about to
minimize these kinds of experiences for black people or tell them they
simply should get over it.

Gisele, I'm sure there are prejudiced police officers out there, just
as there are prejudiced attorneys, doctors, and dentists, but here is
another side to that coin....

The poor are profiled every single day, not racially, but police
officers are trained that statistics show that someone who is driving
a car with the broken taillate, no muffler, cracked windshield are a
certain times more likely to be breaking the law in other ways, have
warrants out for their arrests, or are wanted felons, so they target
these people, which are of ANY race. Some might even claim it was
because they were white, orange, or black. Maybe they just can't
afford the new windshield or headlight, but that's the breaks.
