A legal question

It's been ages since I got out of doing medical transcription, but
I've been hearing about others not being paid and MTSOs bouncing
checks. This strikes me as sad since pay is already so low. I'm
wondering what their legal options would be, i.e., can they place
liens against property or what?

Jeannie, didn't you post about your mother doing that or holding
property from the McCain campaign because she did not get paid? How
did she do that? Maybe the people not getting paid can do the same
thing to get their money. TIA
