Gender "reassignment" has always been a mental, not a physical problem. The
body works as it was intended to work, the person just wants to live as the
opposite sex. The decision to do that shouldn't be undertaken lightly, and
children certainly don't have the experience or wisdom to make the decision.
Parents need to wait and let the children make the decision on their own.
As a matter of pure fact, the gender remains the same, it is the outward
appearance that changes.
