((I sometimes quote Einstein, but my personal experience and the
experience of
many people I know makes this quote of his untrue.
You can argue intelligence all day long, but it's really hard to
argue
experience. ))
Ed, would you care to elaborate on your experience regarding the
bible? No insult of what you believe is intended, but I'm a pragmatist
in all things related to religion.
In my view, people may consider what's in the book the word of God,
but we all know the words were written down by men. Something seems to
have been lost in the translation, in my opinion, at least regarding
women. Perhaps I'm rather biased because of my name, which means
Jewess in Hebrew. Females have been given short shift by men starting
way back in history, particularly those who wrote the bible.
