((Good topic, but what does EPOT mean? ))
Neal, as Kathy said, check the subject line. EPOT is just my way to
differentiate economy/political off topics from normal OT posts.
((I would really like to vote for T. Boone Pickens!! ))
I've been listening to him, and I would like to learn more about
getting off foreign oil. Even though I don't buy much gasoline for
Blue Satyr, maybe $20 a month, I've been getting dizzy watching my oil
stocks bouncing up and down recently.
Regarding BofA, I had a credit card with them for years, but got tired
of paying a yearly maintenance fee. A couple years ago, I finally
switched over to a Chase/Amazon credit card. Last summer, they even
within hours raised my credit limit to almost $16,000 when I told them
I wanted to use my VISA to buy a car. Have you checked out Chase for
your business card?
Like you, half my retirement funds are in mutual funds, an IRA
account. The other half is mainly in blue chip stocks. My financial
advisor told me years ago during that S&L debacle to hold steady since
the market usually comes back. Also, I'm in stocks mainly for the
dividends they pay, and so far so good!
About the political static of the last couple days, I'm still leaning
toward voting for Senator Obama. Maybe it sounds sexist, but I just
don't trust the McCain/Palin ticket to run our country. I check the
following link almost every day to see which party is pushing the
envelope on truth. http://www.factcheck.org/
