EOT - It's the economy, Stupid!

Sound familiar? Are any of you annoyed, pissed off, or just plain
furious at the $700B we as taxpayers might have to pay in bailing out
companies with bad debts? The government talking heads are saying we
need to hurry up, push...push...push this bailout plan through
congress as fast as possible. The details can be figured out later. We
are being told to trust them. Where have we heard THAT before? Oh
yes, the war.

I might be a bit economically challenged, but what's the rush? The
world, even the financial world, isn't going to come to an end if we
all stop and catch our breath for a few days. On a positive note,
though, this economic crisis is showing how both Senators would react
if President. There is the usual gung-ho, shoot-from-the-hip McCain
jumping into the fray and then having to back pedal now and then.
Meanwhile, Obama is calmly weighing all the facts.

Personally, I'll take calm over frantic when it involves my tax money.
