I had a nasty crash during a motorcycle race and the side of my right
knee took a hard blow. There was a lot of bruising and it had swollen
up. I went to the doc who prescribed Motrin for the pain and
Cephalexin. Now, a week later the knee is still a swollen but the
bruise has faded quite a bit. However, I can barely walk. Whenever I
change my leg's position from horizontal to vertical I have intense
pain for a while. The swollen area seems like it has some fluid and
the doc said it will be reabsorbed by the body.
My question is, how long will this type of injury take to heal? Any
ideas how to speed up the healing process?
