here is more about my illness, hopefully someone can shed some light
on this:
i had some cold symptoms starting 8 days ago. slight fever and other
pretty ordinary stuff. i think that night or the night after i had
this intense feeling of discomfort, not really pain, of something
being stuck in my throat, like some foreign object. it was extremely
uncomfortable. this went away the next morning and was replaced with
a slight cough, the extreme sore throat, and mild sinus congestion.
it was 5 days ago when the extreme sore throat shifted over to my
right side. since then its been getting more and more swollen and
more intense. i should also note that about 2-3 days ago i started
feeling a "sore" far back on my tongue, on the left side. its too far
back for me to see what it looks like. but actually this "sore" has
become more and more painful as well and now the throat on the left
side and tongue on the right side equal out the pain. and they are
both equally far back in my throat and give the same type of pain. if
i press my tongue to the roof of my mouth, there is pain. if i press
the lymph nodes on my neck, there is pain, but this is the same pain
that is coming from my tongue and throat, only i am stimulating it
indirectly. i still have mild sinus congestion and a slight cough.
this is starting to feel very strange and starting to get more
painful. the pain is less of a sore feeling, and more like a swollen
feeling. there is definitely some swelling in my throat. i took 400
mg ibuprofen 10 hours ago, then another 200mg ibuprofen and a tylenol3
8 hours ago. then i woke up an hour ago with more of this pain.
i probably repeated myself alot here, but i am trying to provide a
thorough description. the doctor i saw yesterday said it was an
"encrustation" but i could not find any information about this online.
i think she was just trying to get me out of there. does anyone have
ANY idea what this could be?
