What is the difference between using usenet to get answers and seeing
a real doctor? You can go to half a dozen doctors and get half a
dozen opinions on any given history. Post your history on usenet and
you'll get dozens of opinions.
The difference is that the people on usenet may not be the best
qualified, but at least they don't hide behind the fact that they may
not have all the information.
There is nothing wrong with someone using usenet to guide them in the
right direction. Doctors don't have time or interest in complicated
problems. Do you really think in those measly 10 minutes you spend
with patients, you can help them? You'd have to come back three times
just to have a proper conversation and get the full history.
Thanks,
Rob
