So, tell us Andrew, if the same joke was told without the reference to
Satan, would it still be funny? For example: Jesus was showing he computer
prowess to the hosts of heaven. He was busy working up a spread*** showing
a list of the saved souls and it was taking a long time to compile.
Suddenly, the power went out. Everyone gasped knowing how much work had been
lost. Jesus just sighed. When the power came back on, Jesus when right back
to work. When he finished only moments later, the cherubs were astonished at
quickly he recovered and asked St. Peter how he did it. St. Peter smiled and
responded "Jesus saves!"

If it is funny, who or what is put down?
