Sorry, but the evidence doesn't fit. The only Michael Underwood I can find
who posted to SMC (up until 1999) appears totally legit and in no way
connected to Chung or Mu.

Why look for a real person behind the Mu character when all the evidence
points to Mu merely being Chung's sock puppet? It's the only explanation
that fits all the facts. That's especially true in older posts before
Chung/Mu got smart and switched to news providers that conceal identifying
header information.
