Last time I talked about this was almost a year ago. And I fasted for
days until my weight dropped from about 150 lbs to its present 137 lbs.
The main culprit is icecream. I seem to binge eat on icecream,
especially the stick brands where there is no inconvenience, just open a
wrapper and empty the box.

What confused me was that I had the discipline to fast for 2 days
straight to lose 3 pounds per day of fasting, but not the discipline to
resist the temptation of binge eating on icecream. Seems paradoxical to
me.

I wanted to get to 137 lbs and remain there or below. But it kept
creeping up to 140 and even 142. So I admitted defeat. I concluded that
there exists food in modern society that is even more powerful over the
discipline of able to fast.

So what I have decided is to break the power of these tempting foods by
ceasing to buy them except for a holiday. So throughout the year I can
only buy icecream or chocolate or cookies for a holiday occasion.

And for the remainder of the year, the best food to eat in the house
will be only fruits and cereal along with regular meals.

So my dieting now is a program to cease from buying good food such as
icecream because the moment I bring it home, I tend to binge eat.

Thus I expect my weight to remain at 137 lbs or less while on this diet.

I forgotten the percentage of USA public that is obese, whether it
reached 50% yet. But I would hazard to guess that icecream, chocolates
and cookies are the main culprits. If we eliminated icecream chocolates
and cookies from our diets completely (even sugar) that obesity would
decline dramatically.

So dieting should begin at the grocery store.
