Hi all,
Got a question about scar removal. I have a scar on my face that is
not a birthmark. It showed up after a very high fever when I was about
1 year old. It is probably about the size of a silver dollar and
irregularly shaped. It is fairly bright red and very slightly puffy.
When I get angry, exerted, run a fever, etc., the spot gets redder and
a tiny bit more puffy. My family doctor (when I was a child) said it
was nothing to worry about and it was just a "fever scar". It doesn't
hurt or itch or cause any discomfort, but I would like to get it
removed because I am sick of people asking me if I was in a fight, if
my wife smacked me, or some other stupid question. I'm 36 now and
would just like to get rid of it.
My question here is has anyone had a similar spot removed? Anyone
here removed a similar spot, or does anyone have any advice? How would
they go about removing it? Cost?...
Thanks in advance.
