You are correct - the condo complex, which was only eight units or so, was
about a hundred yards from the Kahala Mandarin, formerly Kahala
Hilton....located on the same access road through the golf course.....

Jack Lord wasn't really a recluse, merely one who didn't trade on his
celebrity. He enjoyed the "good life" after 5-0 ended and was often seen at
high powered social events in Honolulu. The condo was probably the most
exclusive address in the islands.....:)

Finally, it's true Lord didn't venture out much the last year or two of his
life, but that was due to infirmity and old age - he wasn't "up to it"......
