Adults don't need to have tetanus injections unless they have a puncture
wound, most likely a dirty wound. A local doctor said he had to give a shot
to a woman who was gardening and punctured her skin with a rose thorn. Rusty
nails being stepped on. Especially dirty cuts. That sort of thing. It isn't
for your average paper cut. Prevention immunizations have saved lives.
Sometimes (rarely) it causes severe reactions, too. Life is risky, but here
we are! You do what you think is best.
