DR. GASTALDO CONTACTS VICTORIA (AUSTRALIA) GOVERNMENT
DR. GASTALDO'S CONCERN:
The Victoria (Australia) government quoted Obstetrician Sue Walker from
Mercy Hospital for Women:
"Difficulty delivering the baby's shoulders, fortunately, is uncommon but,
mostly, unpredictable and unavoidable..."

Dear Victoria (Australia) government,
Please inform all pregnant women in Victoria, Australia that obstetricians
are closing birth canals up to 30% and keeping birth canals closed when
babies get stuck - and lying about it....
See Make birth better: Dan Rather, before you leave CBS...

My thanks to the woman with the paralyzed child (obstetric brachial plexus
injury) who questioned the quote from Obstetrician Sue Walker.
Obstetricians should end their bizarre birth-canal-closing behavior and see
if some cases of shoulder dystocia might be avoided.
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Todd

PS ACCURACY/AUTHENTICITY OF OBSTETRICIAN
The Victoria (Australia) government disclaims the above quoted claim made by
Obstetrician Sue Walker:
"No claim is made as to the accuracy or authenticity of the content of [this
Victorian Government] website...all persons accessing the site undertake
responsibility for assessing the relevance and accuracy of its content."
http://www.dpc.vic.gov.au/legals/disclaimer.html
Again, here's the obstetrician's quote:
"Difficulty delivering the baby's shoulders, fortunately, is uncommon but,
mostly, unpredictable and unavoidable..."
With obstetricians closing birth canals up to 30% and keeping them closed
when babies get stuck, I suspect that much difficulty delivering babies'
shoulders is caused by obstetricians.
So I say again...
VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT: Please make sure that all pregnant women in Victoria,
Australia are explicitly informed that obstetricians are closing birth
canals up to 30% and keeping birth canals closed when babies get stuck - and
lying about it....
See again: Make birth better: Dan Rather, before you leave CBS...

Please tell pregnant women...
PREGNANT WOMEN: To allow your birth canal to OPEN the
"extra" up to 30% - just roll onto your side as you push your baby out.
BEWARE THOUGH: Some OBs and CNMwives will let you "try" alternative
delivery positions but will move you to semisitting/dorsal (close your birth
canal up to 30%) for the actual delivery.
ALSO BEWARE: As indicated above, it is standard practice for OBs to KEEP
birth canals closed
when babies get stuck and forceps and vacuums are used to pull on babies'
head. Talk to your OB or CNMwife today.
CNMwife = certified nurse midwife - most practice in hospitals. Maybe
Australia does not have CNMwives?
Here in the US, many hospital midwives and some homebirth midwives - ape the
bizarre birth-canal-closing behavior of OBs...
See Midwifery Today abomination - CHIROPRACTIC censorship too...

The same may be true in Australia.
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Todd

Copied to: Chiro Censor Bob Dubin, DC via drdubin@aol.com. Bob, as usual,
for your possible Schroeder/SLAPP/censoring enjoyment - then again - hope,
hope, hope - you will start demonstrating an end to your censorship and post
this to chiro-list - your choice.
The world's chiropractors are missing out on a GOLDEN opportunity to speak
out to help save tiny lives and tiny limbs and PREVENT more putative
vertebral subluxations than DCs will ever be able to adjust by hand.
