Q: Competitive Eaters After Competition

Hello, All:

Last night I listened to a talk show whose topic was competitive
eating. At one moment, the question about what the competitive eaters
do AFTER a competition was asked, but no answer was given. I suppose
that most of the people not involved in the sport do not know the
answer.

For instance, Takeru Kobayashi ate 49 hot dogs on July 4, 2005. Do
these eaters slowly digest these food, or do they induce a vomit to get
rid the food?

Also, has anyone died during, or shortly after, such a competition
because of having eaten too much?

Thanks for reading and replying.

Roland
