Dr. Misbin and Symlin

Dr. Misbin was removed as a FDA reviewer for the drug Symlin (diabetic) and all future reviews of drugs produced by Amylin Corporation. This is per the WSJ for 10/26/05. This is very disturbing. Either Dr. Misbin is anti-Amylin or the FDA has been overly influenced by Amylin. This is an excellent article that raises a lot of questions. For example, why is there no central reporting for drug side-effects that doctors can report to?
