Hi all, I am new to here. My first topic for discussion is skin prick
test.
I got a yound infant 9 months old, he goe mild eczema. He had an skin
prick allergy test for > 40 allergens tested. It find out that he was
severely allergic to egg white and not allergic to lamb.
Mother gave him some mince lamb meat but he still had an flaring up of
the the eczema.
He was orginally scheduled to have influenza vaccine and it was
cancelled due to the contraindication to one who is allergic to egg
white as noted in the insert of the vaccine.
He previously got all the vaccinations without a trace problem. So is
it difficult to give him further immunization many of which containt
aviain protein / or in contact of avian protein during the process of
manufacturing.
Any thoughts ?
