competent adults aren't "placed under a doctor's care",
they voluntarily *place themselves* under a doctor's care.

I totally agree, but many people do not want to take responsibility.
That is why we are in a health care crisis. Drug companies offer magic
pills to cure all ills. Doctors only have 15 minutes to talk to a
patient. A patient needs to find a reason for his or her pain and they
need a quick fix to get rid of the pain.

If people would take responsibility from their own lives they would
need less care from Doctors. They would need less drugs.

During part 6 Bruce Lipton PhD explains that drug side-effects are not
side-effects but effects. The effect is really the side-effect. He
explains using the example of Hormone Replacement Therapy the woman
only needs estrogen in ones specific part of her body but HRT floods
the body with estrogen overwhelming the rest of the body with too much
estrogen. The effect can become cancer while the side-effect can be
the reduction of pain caused by menapause.

The facts are that too many people are hooked on drugs they only think
they need. If their Doctor doesn't give it to them the patient will
only find another drug dealing doctor to fulfill their need.

Doctors & patients do not have personal relationships. Since I do have
the time to give my vitamin customers, my customers want me to
prescribe them an herbal cure they can use as a drug to feed their fix.
I can't and won't do that. I don't care if they go somewhere else to
get their fix, I don't need the headache.

As Dr. Lipton points out, our subconcious runs 95% of our life and
processes over 1 million times more information than our creative
thinking concious at a speed of 50 million bits per second. People
react to most things in their lives. Proaction can only be achieved by
changing the views of the subconcious. Positive thinking does not
work. Positive thinking only uses the 5% controlled by our concious
brain at a speed of 40 bits per second.
