This is annoyingly inexplicable.Might be worth checking out gargoyle mongolism (Hurler's syndrome).

I did (as I mentioned in the post). I haven't seen many pictures
of it but I don't see how it could be the same thing - the facial
deformities were congenital, but Hurler's kids start out looking
normal, don't they?
