Yes they have put her on drips. Various types of drips and injections
daily. But she sleeps a lot. Her hands tremble and she can't even
speak. Since she is my mother so I am very much worried. Anyways thanks

I'm not talking about an IV "drip", which is typically just glucose and
saline. That is only for fluid replacement and has nothing to do with
nutrition. If your mother is that weak, she is likely nutritionally depleted
and unless that nutrition is replaced, she won't get stronger, making an
operation increasingly dangerous the longer she goes without it. It does no
good to try to feed her if she's throwing up frequently, and if she has a
tumor in her duodenum, they won't be able to tube feed her directly into her
stomach. Anyway, it's likely that under her present circumstances, there is
almost no possible way she could take in enough food orally to meet her
current nutritional needs. Next option is Total Parenteral Nutrition. Unless
she is getting that, her doctors are just wasting time that she doesn't
have.
