well,, im not a diebetic, a drinker, or exposed to chemicals.. lol... I
sleep
in every position I can but nothing helps half the time.. sometimes If I
hang
my left hand, (which is the one that hurts) offf the side of the bed
hanging
down while IM on my stomach, so my hand is vertical to the floor,
sometimes
this will help it for a min, or until I put it back up on the bed,, no
position helps,, and its getting worse.
I dred going to bed at night now, because I dknow what to expect.. and
thats
pretty bad.. cuz I loveeeeee my sleep!!! LOL

Try some kind of anti-inflammatory before bed, and get a wrist splint. Most
medical supply places have then - even many drug stores. Wear it to bed.
That would be the typical first step in treating presumed carpal tunnel
syndrome. See a doctor - if your symptoms can't be controlled with splint
and NSAIDS, a visit to a neurologist for electromyograms (EMG) would be the
next step, then maybe injection of the carpal tunnel as well as *complete*
rest, 24/7 use of the wrist splint and an occupational therapy consult.
Then - surgery.
