Hi, my name is Daniela and I have a problem: I am suffering from a
peculiar disease where the main problem is that my muscles are
always tense, which is very painful and has never been treated
properly. Other symptoms are permanently elevated body temperature
(especially on very bad days, I had up to 39.7 °C without any other
explanation), iron deficiency, tachycardia, high blood pressure and
restlessness (yes, I got my thyroid checked and it's normal). All
of that, especially the tense muscles, adds up to making life pretty
much unbearable for me so I am seeking for a solution. Local
anesthetics don't work very well on me, and benzodiazepines do
nothing even in very high doses. I heard that there is a link between
benzodiazepine resistance and iron deficiency, that might be a hint.
I've been diagnosed with spasticity when I was a baby. Personally,
I think there's something wrong in the inhibitory parts of the CNS.
Could that be? Has anyone heard of something similar? Or could it
be anything else? Does anyone have any idea whom I could talk to
who could help me with this problem? I've been to many doctors
already, and none could help.
