I'm 41 years old, male, good health, no medical history. About 6
months ago I started to feel an intermittent dull ache in my abdominal
region, roughly left lumbar region. It feels like a toothache and
sometimes throbs. It comes & goes seemingly at random. Sometimes I
feel it while I'm sleeping at night. It doesn't seem to be very
irritable.
No dietary changes recently, non-smoker, no alcohol. No lifestyle
changes. I don't feel unusually stressed.
My GP sent me for an abdominal ultrasound scan which showed nothing
but the doctor who did the scan told me it wouldn't show stomach or
bowel. I haven't been back to my GP since the scan as she didn't seem
to know what it could be or what to do.
Can anyone offer any information on what this could be?
What to do is get to another doctor (such as a gastoenterologist) who knows "what it could be or what to do".
