Hello!
I am writing an essay on what is publicly known, and what is
widely believed, about the Burlington armor system, developed in
Chobham, England (and often referred to as "chobham armor"). When
it is done, I will be adding it to the Modern Armor section of my
MBT Resources web site -- www.ciar.org/ttk/mbt/
It is not intended to be anything approaching an exhaustive
authority on Burlington, nor is it intended to reveal anything which
is not already public knowledge. It will touch on some rumors and
myths surrounding this armor system, and label them as such, as well
as respectable educated guesswork.
I have quite a few references regarding Burlington armor already,
some of them already available on my web site, but I am interested
in finding more. I've scoured the web regularly for the past few
years, and have plenty of online sources (some more dubious than
others), but have limited hard-copy sources (books, magazines, video,
etc).
So I was wondering if anyone here has some favorite magazine or
book references to the Burlington armor system, so that I could
reference them in my essay. They need not be good references; my
effort is as much about revealing bulls**t as it is about providing
truth.
If you have any such to suggest, please feel free to reply to me
here, or email me if that makes you more comfortable.
