You're saying that equipment produced by the USSR, including the MiG 19,
used so effectively, were all superior to US equipment of the time?
So what second hand Korean war vintage fighters were the US using?
We're talking about an army whose main battle tank in 1970 was the T-34 and
whose main supply vehicle was the bicycle.
I've heard some reasonably deranged excuses for the thrashing the US got in
Vietnam, but being defeated by superior technology is the most bonkers yet.
