Few people play "classic" DnD. They play the huge number of computer RPG
games.
These are even worse than DnD because you don't have to get a group of
people together to play. You only interact with the game and if playing
online game characters animated by other people.
This results in severally impaired interpersonal skills.
These are NOT the kind of people you want in charge of intelligence.
The other problem is that in order to succeed in an RPG you have to accept
and integrate the world view of the designer. This can greatly differ from
reality, but in subtle ways. Consider the differences between SimCity
designed by a communist, or just a Democrat. (SimCity is an old commerce
and civics simulator).
