Judging from the description, if it actually works in the field, it
would only be helpful if the first bunch of bursts miss. If the first
bunch of bursts don't miss, you'll know you're under fire whether you
have a detector or not.
Isn't one of "Murphey's Laws of Combat" if the enemy is in range, so
are you?
