The answer here is - 'it depends.' If you are talking about a light
infantry squad then ammunition will probably be the largest single
expense. Of course you have to add in the cost off the logistics of
getting the ammunition to the soldier.
What you might do is look at the budget for Iraq and divide by the
number of US servicemen there.

About 10 years ago we used $200 an hour for determining the budget for
tank training operations. (This does not mean that the tank actually
