Yes. Only armies with sophisticated logistics organisations can operate a fleet of tanks for more than a couple of weeks. Insurgencies tend not start until the armed forces vs armed forces fighting has been lost by the other side.
There will be plenty more tank vs tank battles. The heavy battle tanks can move to the next battle whilst the infantry gets on with the occupation.
