Well assuming the US is daft enough to attack Iran I doubt they'd even
defend that much with conventional forces.

They saw exactly how long Iraq lasted, and have seen how effective low
level war is, and also that the Shia militias have won legitimacy for the
Shia fundamentalists in Southern Iraq.

They may be fanatics, but they're not stupid...
