Hello everyone, I am curious, is it possible, once we have mechanosynthesis, to
build flexible as well as strong and tough materials from diamondoid
structures, and if so, how would this be done? A fibrous structure seems to be
one way, but are there other ways? Would a solid plate made from assemblies of
diamond fiber rods be hard as well as tough, or would it sacrifice hardness for
toughness?
