information from AFM images

Dear all,

I have an oxidised sample and want to study the kinetics of this
process by using AFM images. I want to know what all type of analysis
can be done with AFM images.

Is there any reference of any form(webpages or journals or books etc)
available for analysis from AFM images. Is there any technique
available for kinetic studies of growth processes by any type of
microscopy.
