    III LASPM - LATIN AMERICAN SYMPOSIUM ON SCANNING PROBE MICROCOPY
    Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil
    APRIL 18-20, 2005

    We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Latin-American Symposium on
    Scanning Probe Microscopy - III LASPM will be held April 18-20, 2005 at
    Ouro Preto, a historical city located in the state of Minas Gerais,
    Brazil. The LASPM is a meeting among the Latin American and
    international scientists featuring all research areas on scanning probe
    microscopy. The symposium will include invited lectures, contributed
    talks, and poster sessions. A number of outstanding researchers have
    been invited for the symposium. Also planned are exhibitions by SPM
    commercial product suppliers.

    We strongly encourage you and any interested colleagues to visit the
    conference web site, submit an abstract, and attend the III LASPM. The
    abstract submission due date is January 31, 2005.
