This last book, " Airship Design" looks like what i really want,
but it does seems (80 yrs dated) and the vacuum airship back then

silly bike mechanics.
Actually, that book does not say vacuum airships are impossible - it states
that they are beyond 1930s technology. It is notable that the author was
careful not to rule them out. The physics and mechanics of Lighter Than Air
(LTA) has not changed since the book was written, so most of the analysis
is still valid.
So. I was wondering if techology has advanced enough to make the
"impossible" of yesteryear. (the vacuum filled or the solid parts
filled with helium airship)
It seems it may be advanced enough now but I will look into it more
of course.
If you want a more modern reference, the text "Airship Technology" edited
by Gabriel Alexander Khoury and J. David Gillett, 1999, may be just the
ticket.
