PhotoNanoMetrix - forming a company

I am looking for serious individuals to help in establishing a
business based on Nano Composite and MEMS technology for the detection
of molecules.

Small foot print molecular detection devices do not exist for
medical research. The basic concept is to provide ultra sensitive
detection of serious health threat molecules such as proteins from
cancer cells.

Detected in small quantities in advance of symptoms; necessary
therapy can be implemented potentially improving survival rates.

I have two provisional patents which have subsequently expired that
require prototypes. I have not been able to continue with this
business due to insufficient finances. Personally I have spend
considerable funds pursuing this idea and attempts to obtain funding
from other sources have not succeeded.

As an engineering consultant with over 31 years of technical
experience as a chemist, process engineer and UHV specialist I have
some expertise to lend to the development of such a device.

I have a long track record of innovation and solving "intractable"
engineering problems over the years.

I lack funding and associates qualified in other areas of
engineering to make this idea into a reality. At one time I was able
to acquire two prominent scientists as associates but one had just
been promoted to department chair for chemistry and thus time
constraints hampered efforts to the point of financial exhaustion.

High-sensitivity NO2 detection with carbon nanotube-gold
nanoparticle composite films.
Young P, Lu Y, Terrill R, Li J.

California, USA.

Composite films of single-walled carbon nanotube mesh doped with
alkanethiol monolayer protected gold clusters (MPCs) have been
investigated for ultrahigh sensitivity detection of nitrogen dioxide.
The response to NO2 (measured as increased conductance) of the
composite materials increased with MPC loading until a threshold MPC
loading level was achieved, after which no further enhancement of
sensor response is observed. The total of about ten droplets of MPC
solution had been cast atop the SWNT mesh. The detection limit for NO2
has been improved 9.6-fold, to 4.6 ppb, compared with that obtained
with pure SWNT sensors. Ultraviolet illumination helps to speed up the
sensor recovery. All tests were done under ambient conditions.

I am looking for individuals who can assist me in building the
necessary prototypes and getting the necessary funding to continue
with this project.

Thanks for your interest
