fish nanotoxicology


am Sayed Ali Johari, PhD student of fisheries department of Tarbiat
Modares University, I. R. IRAN.

I am working on silver Nanoparticles as a fungicidal and bactericidal
agent for prevention of diseases in salmonids. Also I am trying to
recognize effects of these nanoparticles on this fishes. My PhD thesis
titled:

"Application of silver nanoparticles for control of infectious fungi
during propagation period of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and
study on probable effects of release of this nanoparticles on some
physiological indices in fingerlings"

In Iran I am working on methods which prevent from fungal diseases of
fishes and larva, by means of indirect use of silver nanoparticles in
hatchery systems. Also I am working on effects of release of silver
nanoparticles on some physiological indices in fingerlings. These are:

- Lc5096H (Short-term or acute exposure)

- Haematology and blood plasma analysis (Long-term or Chronic
exposure)

- Tissue metal analysis (Long-term or Chronic exposure)

- Histopathology (Long-term or Chronic exposure)



Now I am searching for any information which could be useful for my
thesis works and experiments. You may be able to aim and guide me
about it.

Also I want to go to a foreign country as "studying opportunity" (6-9
month) to continue my studies. For this purpose I should select a
foreign supervisor who can support me in his/her university/
laboratory. You may be enthusiastic to accept this or may be able to
introduce person who can help me about this.

I am wishful to survey effects of silver nanoparticles on gene
expression via genomics or proteomics observations of rainbow trout
abroad. I am waiting for any information and recommendation from you.
