See the book "Chaotic Vibrations" by Frank Moon (Engineer, Cornell U.).
Also do searches, both literaure (1980's-present) and google on the
following people (all engineers who've done a lot of work in the area):
Lawrence (Lawrie) Virgin (Duke U.)
Frank Moon (as above)
Michael Todd (UCSD)
Joseph Cusamano (Penn State)
David Chelidze (Rhode Island U., I think)
Douglas Adams (Purdue U.)
