Hi,
I m a chemical engineer, and kows just few about bifurcation. Can some
one help.
I' want to know , is the phenomena that I' will describe has a name and
an explication in the theory of structure stability.
A system comprise two regions (bassins) each has its own attractor. The
first region is forming a blue loop with the attractor in the middle of
the region. the two bassins are separated by a normal saddle node
separatrix.
How it can transform in the situtation were the attractor of the first
bassin is transformed in a repellor and the the two bassins are sharing
the second attractor. It seem to be a competion between the two
atractors, and the attractor forming a blue loop at a time is
transformed in a repellor and his bassin is dominated by the second
attracor. Can some on help.
If necessary I' can send a sketch of the situation.
Distbel
