If you purchased the software in 1997 and it included the old style Dongle
then, unless your computer is also vintage 1997, you may be experiencing
speed issues. The hardware in the old style dongles cannot keep up with the
newer high-speed parallel ports and the port reads may often not return the
security sequence quickly enough and the message gets garbled. I have
observed this on some other dongle protected software as well.
