You didn't say what the error message was. Missing DLL's? Missing hardware
key? I thought W98 was backward compatible. Did you remember to install the
Rainbow key driver as well? It should have been on the setup disks but I can't
remember if it auto-installed during 6.0 installation.
6.0 is so ancient you might consider either (1) scraping up $500 and getting the
July 22 2004 version, which really does have some nice features now, and a year
of support to help you with it, or (2) switching to something else if you're not
too ZEMAX-pregnant with hundreds of ZMX files to convert or re-enter. You can
download and view the latest ZEMAX user manual at http://www.zemax.com and page
through it without needing the hardware key, to help you decide whether to
remain loyal to 6.0, or ZEMAX at all, or go another way.
